Living history

One of the oldest and most aristocratic families lived at Villa Mallandrino. Pasquale Mallandrino married Nicoletta Cianciafara, who was the daughter of Filippo Cianciafara. Filippo was first cousin of Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa, author of “The Leopard” (“Il Gattopardo”)

With the thorough respect of the original architecture in mind, the Villa has recently been divided in six wonderful apartments name after the winds: Tramontana (The North Wind), Maestrale (Mistral), Scirocco (Sirocco), Levante (The East Wind), Libeccio and Ponente.
